New York’s semiannual Fashion Week, (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week), is the first of the "Big Four" fashion weeks including London, Paris and Milan.
During New York Fashion Week over 250 events attracting approximately 232,000 attendees annually (116,000 each Fashion Week) are held. These include fashion designers, media/press, senior executives, buyers and other industry professionals.
As staggering as it may sound, this event generates almost $900 million for the greater metropolitan area - more than the U.S. Open, the New York City Marathon or the 2014 Super Bowl.
